Window down, not up (sort of)

Hey all, sorry to beat an old dead horse but I'm having a driver side window issue. I'll try to explain the circumstance. BTW I have a G37x coupe. I've searched the threads pretty exhaustively but only find threads about a window reset after a battery disconnect.

About two weeks ago my driver's window stopped working, it wouldn't lower, not even when I opened/closed the door. I looked through threads and tried 1) pulling the fuse for a while and replugging (didn't work), 2) new door switch and this is where it gets weird. The driver's window did go down, all the way, but now it won't come up so I have the opposite problem. I figure it might be the motor but I can hear the motor kick in, but only when I try to lower the window (which is already lowered all the way), when I try to raise the window....nothing. I can't imagine the window motor to be half bad, but maybe the switch is? I also tried the "reset"; holding it in the down position for 20 seconds, and then up position for 20 seconds, or any combination, but nothing worked except I could hear the motor try to kick in (again, only pushing the button down). The passenger window works as expected.

Anyway, I ordered a new fuse figuring that may be the issue. I guess I'll wait and see. I appreciate any insights you may have.
