My g37 is a 7at with 107k and when I acclerate from a stop there is a whining noise that can be heard with the windows up before it shifts. Also my transmission flares before shifting in some gears. I dont know if I should just drive it until the tranny gives up and just get it rebuilt, or should I just bring it to a transmission shop. I am just worried they are going to tell me it needs a rebuild now and I dont have enough for that right now. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be very appreciated.

 

Try going to a dealer and see if it has all of the updates for the transmission. Then go to a shop that uses BG fluid to get a transmission fluid exhange. My transmission was thumping and flaring around 70 thousand miles miles when I did both and that fixed the issue.
