2nd Gear

2nd gear to me feels a little notchier than any of the other gears. Also, I can hear the tranny a little (hear it engaging into gear) in 2nd than any other gear. I find the MT a little noisy in general. Anyone else have that issue? I want to go to a meet in to hear someone else's MT. I haven't owned a MT in so long, so I forgot how it should feel/sound. Thoughts?

Yep, they're all like that. Our transmissions are a little on the crude side.

I would've thought it was a little more refined. Still love the car though. Anything I can do? Maybe shortshifter?

A short shifter should reduce some of the vibration and tune it down a little. Certainly not a cure-all, but because of the change in the fulcrum's position, it should smooth things out a little. Note that I said should. Sometimes short shifters have odd effects that I don't expect. I don't have one for the G yet, but according to the door tag from FedEx I found, I might soon
