370z vs G37 rear subframe
370z vs G37 rear subframe
I'm not sure what the differences are between the two, but the subframes for these two models are different.
The G37 shares the rear subframe with the EX37/EX35/QX50 (55400-JL01E) - truck subframe lol
The 370z has its own subframe (55400-1EA0C) - sportier?
I wonder what the differences are? They share the same rear spindle however.

There are a few different things welded to the subframes. One is where the rear factory brace that connects the lower spring pockets to one another, as the center mounting point for this brace is different between the G and the Z.
I do believe that the Z rear subframe could bolt up under a G, but there are a few other Z components that you'd need to acquire to go along with it to make it work.
There's a thread out here that shows the difference that I mentioned above. I'll try to find it and add a link to it here....
Found it!!!

That's funny, I have come across that thread so many times. That shows that I'm using the search function properly.
I also have those nismo dampeners, waiting to be installed. Not expecting crazy results but hoping that it will add to the total balance of trying to make the car feel different
Hmm could not see the posts outlining the differences, but I'm guessing it's to accommodate the extra spider bracing that the 370z has?

You'll see what I had to do to mount the rear spider brace (starting) at post #83. Post #91 shows the entire spider brace and my mounting bracket.
Post #92 shows the differences between the G and Z, basically...
Lastly.... if anyone want a set of the front black braces, I have a set that I cleaned up & painted. Then I realized that a G37x/Q60x already has bracing (actually even more bracing), so I don't need them.
