Hey VQ family, so i got rear ended in a hit and run while i was running some errands in my apartments, most likely i’ll find who did it but for the mean time my insurance deductible is 1,000 and i dont know the damage occured would cover that, let me know what you guys think? Such a sad day for me wouldnt wish this on anybody but some people really dont got respect anymore… clean title and im the second owner, only had the car for 9 months and ive never had any accidents happen on any car
You may need a new rear sensor if it's damaged behind the bumper. You may need to check to see if there is damage behind the bumper. Luckily your tail light is intact. A good body shop can pull out the dent and repaint. I was hit and run a couple years ago as well. Idiot truck driver pulled out of a parking spot too close to my front bumper and ripped it clean off my car.
Yes I think that is well over 1,000 dollars fix. New rear bumper (Not sure about cost but I would say maybe 600 and up + labor to install puts you there) then you need rear quarter fixed ,and paint isn't cheap.
My opinion is get a estimate first before claim and see what the difference is. Whether it's a 1,200 fix and you cough up another 200$ or a 2,400 fix and go the deductible route.
