On my way into work. I was on the freeway and traffic stopped short. I was fine and actually the person behind me was fine but a local police officer hit the person behind me and pushed her into me.
Total bummer!!!! Damage was not that bad and no one got hurt but it sucks only owning a car for a month and having it get into an accident. At least the PD admitted fault and are expiditing the process. If all goes well I could have my car back by the first part of next week.
In the meantime I am stuck in a Linclon Towncar. Talk about boring!!!!
Oh well... Thanks for listening to me rant and whine a little......
I feel you pain Ihad the same thing happen to me after owning my car 2 weeks. Still not fixed but at least the other kid claimed fault. I think he did that because he thought I was going to kill him.
It it makes you feel any better, I got rear ended last week. Not a lot of damage, but a $1800 bill. Oh! Then I realized my insurance hasn't been transfered to the car!
Must have hit pretty hard or that person sandwiched in middle didn't have foot on brake. She was driving stick probably. Uh oh, first G in a sandwich.
Thanks for the words of support. Inital estimate is for about $2000. We will see if that goes up once they take everything apart.
As far as the person behind me, she definately did not keep her foot on the brake. She really shouldnt have hit me.
Oh well. The body shop said they can have the parts in 3 days. I am hopeing for the best!!!!
