Why was the original cat replaced (same code)? regardless, if the work was done by a shop, you might want to take it back. If you or a friend did the work, then you might want to dive under there and make sure everything is tight and the O2 sensor wires are not pinched or damaged. G-Trivia: the driver's side is the difficult one to work on, not saying the other side is easy, but...

It was done professionally at the shop I work at. The guy that did it is going to take a look at it soon. As for why it was replaced.. I'm not sure, it came thru my shop for an inspection before it went to the dealer, where I bought it. My boss said he believes there was a rattle noise coming from the cat, so they replaced it

Did you use some aftermarket cat as a replacement?

I bought a aftermarket one too and I would have the light come on randomly so I would just reset it until the next time. Assuming everything is okay with the install I think it's just a roll of the dice when dealing with aftermarket cats.

Update to this... it most definitely is an aftermarket cat, and as of now I just keep clearing the code. Pops up every now and again.
