I just picked up a salvage 2012 Infiniti G37 coupe currently at 90k miles. Although I don’t see issues from the outside could there be any issues I should watch out for? Like certain parts that wear down or break?

 

Congrats on your G37. Read thru postings here on your G model and on issues as they come up. I have learned a lot reading here and sometimes posting. I've never bought a salvage car but if I did I'd have a certified mechanic inspect it, better know any potential frame issues etc up front. I've had a 2010 G37S for 2 years now and up till now the only issue was hesitation every 8 months or so. Fix was always to clean throttle bodies, MAF/MAP sensor and do 3 relearning procedures. You'll find all that here and on YouTube. Maintenance on these cars is imminent. Do it or take it to someone but don't pass on schedule maintenance. My 2 cents.

 

Can you do a carfax on it, run the VIN, maybe with Infiniti?
Lots of cars that have been flooded make it to market, esp with recent hurricanes in central Gulf, from New Orleans to Houston
