3 inch intakes
3 inch intakes
Hey guys, I got a 09 g37 coup S with 120,xxx on it. I curranty have headers, test pipes, y pipe, muff delete and some z1 intake tubes with KN high flow filters along with a uprev tune.
Recently I installed some 3 inch long tube intakes from z1 and right after I installed them, I peeled my G over and the RPM's were really low and almost as if the engine was going to shut off. Also I got a check engine light for P0174.
I reset the codes and tried driving it like that but the engine was really shaky and my throttle response is off.
Any ideas? Could it need a retune?

any intake over 2.75 requires a tune or retune..
Z1 has a note before buying them telling you this
Installation Note: Because the diameter of the piping has been increased, a tune is highly recommended. Modification of the core support is required on 370Z and G37 models. Crash bar modification on the 370Z is required to allow the large high-flow air filters to clear your front bumper. More details can be found in the Installation Guide.
