Road trip, quick heat fix
I have an 08 coupe with 134k miles, and I just wanna preserve the rubbers before I can get under the hood. I have a road trip planned in about an hour. I was wondering if removing my front bumper would it help vent out the heat under the hood.
Are you for real?
If your hoses are showing signs that they might fail, you'd be better off driving something else- or staying home. Removing the bumper will not help your "rubbers." If anything, it would likely do more harm what with all the road debris that will be smacking/clogging your radiator.- amongst other potential nightmare scenarios.
But, your car. If you want to drive without the bumper on, it is all on you.

I would remove the hood instead for maximum cooling. Also fill the engine bay with dry ice will help big time. Make sure to JB weld them to the car so they don't fly off during your road trip.
