Redrilling lug pattern question/concerns?
Hey, I have a S Coupe that currently has 19x9.5+22 oon 275/40/19s in the rear. Which rode beautifully and only rubbed on MAJOR dips or weird speedbumps. After I got my coilovers installed the highest ride height is now causing them to rub on anything and everything(read: undriveable) My wheels are ESR SR08's Machine face and absolutely love them... However I want to buy 19x9.5+35 and do a 5mm spacer to sit pretty flush so I will not have rubbing issues( they don't make a +30). Coils are Stance XR1's(not that it matters). Only other thing I could think of is getting new tires for the rear.. but unsure if that would solve problems either.
The Problem: They no longer have any left in stock at 19x9.5+35 in 5x114.3 they do however have it in 5x120 and have offered to waive the redrilling fee for being a repeat customer. What are some thoughts you guys have on safety, durability, integrity ETC of having the Manafacture perform that task???
I would've already gone ahead with the purchase since I love the wheels, but on the internet almost zero anything exists on going from 5x114.3-->5x120 and am concerned about above problem.
Solution B: scrap the 4 and get new set entirely...hoping to find another set I love.
Just got off the phone with them and they said the center bore will change from 73.1-->72.56 so not entirely sure how that changes relative fitment, but 5mm or .5mm seems to be a non-issue?
