Help - Stripped the motor mount nut

I went to change my driver side motor mount and the upper mount nut is stripped. Apparently it's impossible to remove the engine mount bracket with engine in vehicle because one of the bolts doesn't have room to back all the way out. What are my options here? Can I cut the mount in half with a saw zaw? Thanks for the help

Id try to remove the header. Maybe try a stripped nut removal socket.

thanks!
Ehh would really like to avoid removing the header if possible. My short bolt extracting sockets are just that... Too short. Have some longer ones on the way but I'll definitely need to remove the header to give those a chance.

Curious if anyone has actually cut the mount to remove. I can't find any exploded views of the oem motor mount to plan an attack

Cutting might not help you can't really spin the mount off from the top there is a pin that orientates the mount in the proper direction. So even if you cut it I don't see how that would help you gain some space. You could just loosen the bottom mount nuts and jack the engine up to maybe give you more clearance but I'm afraid you might just have to take the header off on that side thats the thing that is in the way. Another thing could be a crow foot socket. This did nothing for me but I didn't have much leverage on the driver side maybe if you get some more room to move jacking the engine up and removing the AC compressor. You can un mount the compressor without loosing freon just be careful of the hoses.

Yea there isn't much room there. I just did mine spent about 6 hours most of the time was spinning the nut back on the new mounts mm by mm on the drivers side. I took off the alternator for passenger side and luckily managed to loosen the drivers side without removing the AC compressor. Next time I have to take them off I will cut down a deep socket 14mm to fit properly. Sounds like a bummer I hope you get it man.

Thanks for the information juster. Going to hold off on cutting the mount in half for now. I just ordered a flexible extender for the Dremel. I'm thinking I'll be able to get in there and cut the nut/stud at an angle to bust it. This sucks lol

Fyi was able to get a deep extractor socket on it and a ratcheting wrench over the top to break it loose!

I can't for the life of me find the correct upper mount nut size though to replace the stripped one. Ordered a couple off of Infiniti parts deal but they sent me the lower nuts instead -_-

Anyone know the upper mount nut size/pitch??

Good news! Not sure of the nut size, bring it to home depot or ace and see if they have any there.
