Performance Increase
A fella on facebook has swapped a used trans from a Q60 red sport into his G. The two cars share the same 7AT with the exception being the internals are upgraded to handle the higher torque from the twin turbos. He had to shorten his drive shaft because the RS trans has a longer bell housing for the beefier torque converter. (triple disc!) He also swapped the TCM and had to drill a hole for the crank sensor as well as using the trans mount from the RS. This looks to be the cheapest route to getting an upgraded 7AT that can handle over 400 ft. lbs of torque.
I have not looked into that one. The facebook guy chose the Red Sport because he has the GTR twin turbo conversion kit on his G. Makes sense I guess. Last update he was looking into see if the RS drive shaft would be a direct fit also. That would make the swap a virtual bolt in upgrade. We can dream can't we? I've always wanted to do FI but the cost has been just too high for me to justify. Being able to knock several thousand dollars off?..Tempting more than ever.

BTW, I just checked, both are 112.2".
They are essentially the same car.
Years ago I bought a 2004 I35 that was wrecked at 5K miles, and put EVERY DARN PART into a 1997 FWD Maxima. The seats, harness, engine, everything bolted right in. Only difference between the 2 cars? One was an early gen OBD2 and the Infiniti was advanced OBD2 with NATS.
Even the back seats fit perfectly into the older car.
Nissan doesn't change a thing.
Even the new Titan (non-XD) is just a re-skinned Gen1 Titan.
Just stay away from these 'performance chips' which add nothing except bills to your wallet

What am I missing here? OP (or hijacker) is just trying to change their shift ****? Why is this an issue? I changed mine just fine.
Hello guys, so I have a ‘14 Q60s coupe/g37 and looking to increase horsepower and torque. I have twin cold air intakes installed but don’t know what else can be done to give a significant boost. I’m not looking for a turbo kit btw as they’re really expensive for these cars. Thanks!
