Hows it going guys i have a xs coupe and the flex pipes on my y pipe have holes on them(just looked under the car today because i was roating the tires), anyways i was looking at getting the isr y pipe as im not looking into spending alot since i will be going to a full motordyne catback sometime next year. But the main question about the isr is will it fit due to the transfer case and will it fit with my factory exhaust due to the 3" exhaust flange at the rear. Thanks for the input.

 

Why not buy a used Y-pipe? You can get them for around $75-100 bucks.

 

I agree with RMB, if you plan to go Motordyne E370, which will include the section after the cat/test pipe, it might be best to just replace it with a used one you find locally whether aftermarket or stock. Then again, if you bought the ISR, you could just resell it.

To answer your original question, ISR y pipe should fit both RWD and AWD.

If i were to purchase the isr and i would have no choice but to go isr single, many people i know said they would take it all off of my hands for a little under retail so i wouldn't be losing much. And after looking a little further it wont fit the stock midpipe due to the outlet sizing?

 

you can get a new aftermarket (OE style) Y pipe on rock auto for just over $100.00 but any muffler shop will cut out the old flex sections and weld in new ones for probably about the same price (maybe less depending on the local market).

I got the rock auto one for my AWD sedan a few years ago and haven't had any issues with it and it cleared the transfer case fine even though it wasn't listed for AWD

 

In my opinion 2.75 piping is little to big for NA G37 engine.. 2.5 is the max I would choose...

Granted, I might not be nearby, but someone else might, so where are you at?

 

I called ISR, you can do the same. They told me their Y pipe is not proven to fit on the AWD models. Is a risk that you will take.

BTW, I have an megan racing Y pipe im selling, brand new. It does fit on AWD models. LMK if you interested. I did the same bro, I moved on to motordyne this year.
