Reflective tape

HEY!!
So i wanted to get the opinions of other owners on reflective strip tape on cars. I own a white 2008 g37 and to make it "cooler" i was thinking about putting red or white reflective tape only on the bottom of the car, but at the same time i don't want to make the car look cheap. Does anyone have these tapes and can give their opinion? Or even if you don't own reflective tape.
thanks

Any pics of your G? Is it stock? A show car?

Reflective tape is a little loud for me, and im having trouble figuring out what that would like just on the bottom.

Are we talking a “Tron” type look?

Mod your Huffy with reflective tape, not your car.

This will absolutely make your car look cheap. I guarantee it. However... tape comes off just as easy as it goes on, so go see for yourself. It's your car.

Hearing other opinions, i'm probably not going to put on the tape. But is there any small mods that actually look good?

Looks are entirely subjective. If you like the tape idea, do it. You won't find many who agree with your taste, but it's your car.

Back when the F&F movies were still a budget fight, show and race cars usually had logo stickers down the front fenders behind the wheels (all the performance parts on the car). Having all those done in reflective tape looks pretty cool. But, ricer.

If I'm remembering this right, a few years ago at a meet-up in Canada, there was a white G37 Coupe which had mod logos down low, along the bottom on the driver's side. The logos were all unique to one another, naturally, but he had them all in a matching light gray, sized to fit, so somehow it looked more like a design idea and less like race-me stickers.

Now I don't know how much of that I'm remembering things wrong, or how much is influenced by the occasional daydream on the topic... but I've always thought that could look cool when done right.

It's a relatively easy enough idea to photoshop. Particularly on a pretty, clean slate like the OP's Coupe.

i still think the character stickers, whatever they were, that were on the first fast and furious cars were cool.

I had some 3M reflective tape (the 3" wide stuff) on my bike in various strategic places. This wasn't for looks but for safety, especially at night. Everyone's out to get motorcyclists.. You can see some in my avatar on the top case.

My race helmet (an out of date ~2000ish Bell M3) has my last name and blood type at the nape of my neck. Also has 4" rotors on it in a couple of places. All in retroreflective black (ie, black vinyl that reflects bright white back to the light source illuminating it).

Guess I need A. a new helmet and B. different logos. Last name and blood type have not, to my knowledge, changed... but I've had a few rough years, so

:edited: - Mazda rotary engine rotors, not brake rotors. That would just be weird.
