What's the best double sided tape to use for a trunk mounted spoiler? What's the best way to remove old tape residue?

Try WD40 or 3-In-1 oil for starters on the adhesive residue. Lay down some wax when you're done getting it all off.

 

Thanks for the info. My duckbill is starting to separate from the trunk lid so I've got to remove it, clean everything up, and reinstall it. I used the supposedly 3M tape that came with the Chinese made spoiler and it hasn't lasted a year, the foam substrate between the adhesive layers is disintegrating. Been looking at either 3M 06384 or 06392 tape, the 06392 is supposed to be stronger.
