I just happened to see this Thread about dealer installed devices.
I bought a low mileage (10,000 miles) 2014 fully loaded Q37 coupe from Cerritos last summer June 2017 for cash. They never informed me that my car had one of these nor was it needed as I bought car out right! Did anybody talk to Cerritos as I am not a happy camper, I have heard problems with these things.

 

Another Rant about this, I have the Elite Extended Warranty and this Dealership installed device could affect it, having owned 6 Infinitie's I know the electrical systems are complex and EXPENSIVE to repair.

 

Jeeeez! Infiniti's, no E!

 

Sounds like the common element is Cerritos, maybe they put them on all their cars

 

I lost a post somewhere, To back up what I said, I bought a very low miles fully loaded lease turn in and paid cash. I was not informed that the car had a tracker on it. I have the Elite extended warranty and I am going to contact both Cerritos and Karr once I have S/N & Bar code. Warranty can be void due to none factory installation, especially electrical!
