Hey guys, I'm about the pull the trigger on the nst pulleys (no pun intended). I've only heard good things about them on the 370z forums and supposedly they are the best bang for your money (only $200 for a 6-10whp, 3-6wtq increase). I was wondering how hard it is to install these for a newbie like me. The most complicated things I've ever car is an oil change and taking the wheels off. The reason I'm asking is because I've heard the labor for installing these is just as much as the pulleys themselves

It's not hard. You'll have to take the under tray out and remove the radiator over flow tank. From there you can reach and get it done BUT, to make life easier you should remove the rad fans to clear up a ton of space. Follow the DIY on the 370z boards, I did and it was easy..

Also, there's plenty of space between the radiator hoses to remove the crank pulley so don't bother removing them and draining the coolant. You also don't need to remove the alternator if you have a long enough breaker bar. But, if it doesn’t break loose, you’ll have to remove the alternator simply to fit an impact wrench on it.

Thanks for that link bro it was very informative. I'll prob have a buddy help me out too once they come in. I'll keep you posted on how it goes once they come in. Just ordered them

Is it worth the gains, or if there is gains though..? Curious because deciding on a pulley as well but not sure if worth the investment.

I checked on the 370z forums and a couple members have dyno'd it with the new pulleys and saw considerable gains. Nothing you can really feel with your butt dyno but supposedly it makes your car rev out a little faster

Running stroked VQ here, when installed these I lost tons of power .. put OEM's back n car went back to normal!
