08'-13' conversion

Hey guys I'm looking into changing my 08' non sport coupe to the 11'-13' sport coupe front. I have no idea where to begin. Can someone please guide me in the direction of where I should start or link me to a clear guide I can follow. A PM from someone with patience would be great!

Hey man,
I did the same swap, its really not bad at all. Use this guide to remove the bumper (just a few pop clips and screws)

https://www.myg37.com/forums/d-i-y-i...l-install.html

After you've removed it, just essentially go backwards once you've installed the new one. The only thing to consider when swapping from a non-sport to sport is that you will need to purchase a slim washer tank in order for the new bumper to fit. The tank on the non-sports is larger and prevents the sport bumper from fitting. I'm cheap, and never use the washer fluid anyway, so opted just to remove the original one and not use any reservoir at all. Cheers

Washer tank: 2011 Infiniti G37 Sport Washer reservoir

(see blue washer tank)

I was really talking about hooking up the fogs. The process seems to be easy but I need a more in depth guide to tackle it myself. Have you inserted the fogs yet?

I never got around to doing the fogs, I don't think it should be too bad. I got scared off because i thought you needed to splice the wire from the in-headlight fogs down to the lower fogs, but I haven't really looked into it.

Can you just take the fogs from the headlight unit and drag them down to the lower grille? Or is that impossible? I want to do the refresh but I'm not to savy with cars.

Anything's possible but that's really weird. Just buy separate fog lights and do it the normal way.

If I buy separate fogs then I would have to splice wires and there isn't a detailed thread on that. That's what brought my attention to the idea.

Not familiar with the non sport fog bulb but the sport bumper fog bulbs are H11 so if they use the same type then maybe it is as easy as plugging them in below. I'd just be mindful of how you run the wires down.

If you do anything to add more than what came factory, you'll have to AT LEAST splice wires. Pulling the bulbs out of the headlight fogs and trying to run them down as fogs in the bumper is I guess possible, but you'd have to extend the loom and splice that too. Not a bad idea though if you don't like the look in the headlight.

if u use a harness, which is wat ur supposed to do, u only have to splice once and only to the trigger (usually parking light one side) that will tell the relay to power on the lights

So your bottom fogs are just for show? They aren't working?.. Either way the car looks nice.
