Well damn you guy are full of bad news... j/k. I heard it next to a stock g37 before I bought it and the dealer said it had a aftermarket exhaust. I actually liked the sound and was one of the reasons I went with it over the 08. It doesn't seem crazy loud IMO but maybe it's just me.

Looks like the mufflers were cut out and custom pipes were welded in place. I doubt the cats/resonators are out because the sound is deep rather than higher pitched. But just to make sure, could you post a pic of the undercarriage? The exhaust system also appears to be the stock catback.
I posted one pic of as much of the undercarriage as I could get. Tomorrow when I have light I will try and post more.
Ohhh my that is loud.your going to need to upgrade your sound system if ya enjoy listening to music when you drive.i shortened the pipes on my truck but left the mufflers on and it's stupid loud.I can't hear my wife when we're driving....WIN.WIN.
I'm having a hard time excepting that it is THAT loud. I am not one for loud cars and I love listening to music. I do crank it up though. The video under the car was right under the pipe as you can see. So it seems louder then the other exhaust videos on this forum.
Do you guys think it sounds annoying loud?
I have watched the exhaust thread and my favorite was the Stillen catbacks and I thought mine sounded more like the Stillen.

It's not that much louder than stock. It just has a deeper note and echo than the stock exhaust. I had the same sound on my coupe when I got a muffler delete because I couldnt wait for my exhaust system
Yep, muffler AND resonator delete. WillCo1 is also correct, bushings are shot but not a big deal, just get it replaced when you get back there for a diff flush or something.
Yep, the cats and resonators are still intact. Your car has the stock catback with just a muffler delete. It is not a true straight pipe.

Also as for the rear diff. I am taking it into Infiniti this Saturday. Only because I have an extended warranty on the car and they said they should cover it along with a few other things. I just have to pay $100 deductible.

The performance of your car is slightly better than stock, nothing you can really feel or measure though. It just shed a little bit of weight and a little less restriction in your exhaust. Yes, the sound is deeper and louder, but not loud enough to **** your neighbors off when you start the car. Please note that with a muffler delete, a resonator or cat delete will make your car unbearably loud. If you have plans to install test pipes/hfcs for a little extra ponies, you may want to consider buying sport mufflers or an axleback. My current setup is resonated test pipes and a muffler delete and every downshift can be heard from a mile away. It also rattles my neighbor's windows when I start my car and echos throughout my neighborhood.

Thank you for the info. I think I am going to keep it like it is and if I do ever make a change just go with a Stillen catback.
What are your thoughts on a CAI? I have read some on this forum that said Infiniti did a decent job on the intake and it is a CAI just not located in near the radiator.

Yes, you are correct, our vehicles are pretty much maxed out in terms of power efficiency. However, there are noticeable gains with proper CAIs. Stillen and Injen cais offer around 10-15whp with a proper tune. My Stillen Gen3 intakes came in yesterday and I got it for an amazing deal of $350. I bought them used from a fellow member here by the user JMacsG37. They even came in powder coated.
Check our classified section to find great deals on aftermarket parts, especially the parting out threads. The filters on these are also reusable and you do get slightly better gas mileage.
