Having A Lot Of Bad Luck This Year...

Hi Guys,

I woke up last Sunday 12/11 from my girl's apartment complex in Hayward, CA to get ready to go into work only to find my rim's and tires (MRR's GT5's/Hankook Ventus Evo 12s) stolen and my car sitting on jacks. I reported it to the police and they say I can't get them back even if I find em on Craigslist (which I did 2 hours away in Sacramento) unless I have a serial number..

I drive 1.5-2 hrs up to Vacaville, CA to get stock wheels/tires from this seller to get by for now. As I'm heading back, I swing by Autozone and I ask for lugnuts for my car. After installing them and driving a mile down the road, my car slams to the ground and I see 1 of my wheels flying 15ft up in the air and another fly straight into the bushes as I make a turn on a main intersection. Autozone sold me lugnuts that were too small and I didn't know any better...

The police officer was cool about it and says, "you're going through a lot of bad luck bro" and I'm supposed to tow it to a bodyshop but he says I can just tow it around back, get the right lugnuts and drive the car home, if I can. The tow guy later says, "one of your tires is blown." I decide to leave my car there, get a used tire downtown and put it back on and drive my car home.

The guy at the tire place says my wheel is damaged so drive carefully. Great. I come back, install the wheel and as I begin driving I hear a grinding noise which sounds like the wheel is rubbing on my break caliper.

Now I lost my business earlier this year after going through depression losing my mom and my niece to cancer so my funds aren't so great and I just started my job teaching kids with learning disabilities and money just started coming in. I currently got basic insurance coverage after I lost my business which covers only if it's my fault in an accident so I'm not going to be getting anything from them. This year has been extremely difficult for me and I need a little bit of luck/help if any of you can lend out a helping hand. If you have a stock wheel/rim that I can have, borrow or even buy anywhere in the South Bay, CA and I will be forever grateful. I will come to you of course.. Thanks for your time, guys and happy holidays.

Kind Regards,

Andy

Sorry to hear everything you're going through. Keep your head up, things could have been a lot worse. I hope you find someone in your area willing to help. If I had a set of stocks I would let you use them.

Wow Andy, so much bad mojo you've gone through but you seem pretty composed, enough to write this all down at least So sorry to hear of this, hopefully another member reading this can come through for you. Glad no one was hurt w/ your flying tire incident and hopefully your G isn't damaged too much during that.

Sure hope you have a nice Christmas, sounds like you surely deserve a good turn in luck.

If you were on the other coast I would of been able to assist you. I'll find out the shipping prices and figure out if I can still.

keep your head high man. things will get better. I lost my dad last year and while the heartache never goes away you can learn to cope with it. don't let car troubles get you down. find a good dealer or trustworthy mechanic and let them take care of you.

best wishes

Nothing lasts forever, not good luck or bad luck. Just keep calm and carry on.

yeah, KCCO bro. If I'm having a rough spell, I just read up on current events around the world and see just how bad other people have it, while I complain about my luxury car being broken down or my Spotify running slow. Chin up and look forward to 2017 being a much better year!

Almost did the same thing a while back when someone stole one of my wheels, got some wheel locks from autozone to use temporarily till I got a new wheel, luckily I realized the lugs are very specific on the oem wheels and bought oem lugs at the stealership for like $15/piece. Anyways good luck to you man hopefully you're able to fix things up
