If you're dead set on a coupe, unless you get another G, I would recommend a Z. Otherwise it would be a switch to American muscle [SS/GT] or a 2nd gen CTS would also be a nice grab [heavy car, but it handles like a champ and the rwd v6 can still get tail happy]. Always steered clear of German brands due to maintenance, but the 335i is a very fun car.

 

If I had to do it all over again, I'd get the newest G I could afford in a 6 speed. If you don't mind missing out on a couple luxuries a 370z would be a tad faster.
