G37 Inquiery

Hey all,

I fell in love with G37 and I would like to hear from members what's your Up and Downs with this specific model and I would like to know if there's any year better than other(Generation)?

I made few research and I didn't find much about G37x Manual and too doors, is it because this model doesn't come in manual and 2 doors(Coupe)?

I'm an Automotive Technician and I fell in love with G37's that visit my workshop.

I'm a Civic owner and I need some spice in my life, I'm planning to give away my Scrap-vic for a G37 in near future.

Manual only came on G37S, both coupe and sedan. No awd is available with a manual, not even G37xS. Also if you buy a manual there's about a 100% chance that you will need your slave cylinder replaced at some point and I would recommend improved aftermarket version from zspeed, other than that it's a pretty solid car.

Get the newest model possible, little updates every year and the 2011+ seem to be the best. A Sport model is required, if you don't, you'll kick yourself, everyone does.

^ This. The parts you buy (bumpers, wheels, suspension, big brakes, seats, etc) to change a base model will cost more time and money than if you bought a sport model.

Agreed, I wish hitting FULL AUTO would blow air everywhere and not just in my eyes.

In my opinion none of the above statement apply to my 2012 G37S

Perhaps you have not adjusted your climate controls properly or you have a problem that could have been corrected under warranty.
In 75k miles there has not been one single problem. 20 oil changes thus far all done at the dealer.
FWIW I had 171796 miles on my previous 06 G35 6sp manual when I traded it in still with the original clutch.

well, let's see .... i turn on climate control to blow on top and bottom. set to 65 degrees. top is ice cold, bottom is 20 degrees warmer according to digital thermometer. unless its set to 60-62 degrees, the bottom air is lukewarm to hot. if the unit is off, recirculate on, warm air trickles out of the bottom.
FWIW, i may not be able to rebuild a transmission, but i know how to operate the climate controls.

i did complain to the dealer when i had it in. their response: "checked AC operation on another G37, found operation normal".

... so its normal to have warm air baking your feet. i'd expect that out of a 1992 Dodge Viper, not so much a 2013 Japanese luxury sport coupe.

Lol Alright I'll brush paint my car then , Buy the cheapest Autozone speakers ! and for climate control, I'll just buy a house AC and convert the plug to use it in G37S .

Hahaha correct. I'm saving the pennies for a full front end respray and some decent clearcoat.
