I've done the launch as CC described a couple of times. No issues. Very smooth.

Like anything else, if you do it too much it's bound to wear something out eventually.

I usually roll into the throttle from a dig. No brake boost / torque boost. I did wire in the switch where I can brake boost as long as I want / do standing burnouts.


I've played with this feature (not on public roads) and found that it'll hold and launch well around 3K rpm. I'm sure it could go higher too considering my torque converter is built.

If you are drag racing, you will find your times very repeatable. With an auto and AWD there are fewer variables and grip is not an issue.

For me, I like to get 60' of wheel hop before I grab second gear.
(or so you would think based on my last 6 runs)
