If you need work done, I know the guy. He runs a Miata shop but doesn't hesitate to work on my G and is competent. Just don't ask him to change your diff bushing. To use a Johnny Dangerously quote, "He did that once. ONCE."

He's off Barker-Cypress.

Hey Slartibartfast, I have added CAI and CBE to my 2012 G, and would like to look at options for an engine tune. I am north of Houston in The Woodlands. Who would you recommend, or how would you go about getting a tune? Thanks,

WE

I agree I have heard nothing but good things about AdminTuning in Houston, I might eventually get a tune from them.

Moncef does come highly recommended, plus when he works in Houston, it's on the north side.

Moncef got his start with Nissans when he was a young man about a decade ago, tuning his 2001 Maxima Anniversary Edition. He's a good guy. Based on nothing much else than an old forum friendship on Maxima.org, and his reputation here on this forum, working with Moncef is a safe bet.

Installed Switchback LED signal headlights this weekend to replace my faded stock headlights.

How is the beam pattern on them compared to stock I havent seen much on them but what I have seen is they apparently arent as good which kind of makes me more inclined to try and restore my old ones

The cutoff is nowhere near as nice as the stock pattern. My guess that’s due to the projectors being used. It’s not as clean or straight lined as stock.

I had had to read-aim the lights as they were throwing the pattern to high. I installed new OEM ballasts and new bulbs at the dame
time.

Overall it’s not perfect but I really like the look and the sequential LEDs.

Just got my car back from the body shop. It was primarily there to fix peeling paint from the previous owner...but I got the grille and spoiler body matched as well and I LOVE IT

I wish we had a side-by-side comparo with lots of good pics for these headlights. They look so good, but I highly doubt they put out good light with the weird 2(?) low beam lens/1 bulb setup and needing a halogen for the highbeam? Not even bi-xenon?

I recently did a G5-R projector retrofit on my Nissan Titan, and now the headlights on my truck blow away my stock Q60 headlights, by like, a lot. But dang, that LED DRL strip sure does look good in the day!

Do those head lights blow away the night-vision of approaching drivers?
