I took a clay bar to half of the car tonight, plan to do the rest some time later this week (car stays in garage). 2013 G37S 6MT with about 62k miles. I flew to New Jersey and bought it about a month ago, drove it back to California through a snowstorm on 9 year old tires (definitely **** my pants more than once), made it back home in 2 days. The front end took a beating so I got the front 4 panels repainted and its given the car a few years back. Wheels are currently finished with Brass Monkey PlastiDip (2 coats black + 2 Brass Monkey), there are some imperfections in the original finish and I wasn't keen on spending the money for refinishing/new wheels just yet.
Yes, very easy to do but takes time. After you clean the wheels, you spray two light coats (black, in my case) and then two or more heavier coats. The heavier coats should not be to so heavy that you form runs/drips. After every coat you wait 15 minutes or so before the next.
I didn’t cover the tires so I had to spend time removing the PlastiDip from them. The more PlastiDip you put on, the easier it will be to take it off without ripping it. If I had to do it again, I would have applied at least two more of the heavier coats.

2014 q60. 6MT. Can't wait to start the build, So far just have K&N drop in filters, axle back Rev9 exhaust. and Carbon fiber spoiler/ducklip .
wheels stock sport wheels, front 19x8.5 and rear 19x9. on 245/40/19 and 275/35/19.
Next is BC Racing coilovers. Idk if i want spacers after or not, may get new wheels instead idk yet but Eventually will do MOTORDYNE full cat back exhaust. Probably Stillen CAI and just bolt on stuff. But want to keep the exterior as minimal as possible
Pulled off tarp and put tools and bolts away in preparation for hurricane. In the process of replacing power steering pump and then clean so I can sell my former baby.
2014 Q60s 37,xxx miles (6spd manual)
Bought it with 18,6xx miles in 2017
Just have to buy front spacers and add a little bit more
camber or might just get a fatter tire for the fronts
The rear fit perfectly flush, I am rubbing a lot though due to the bumper bracket that I eventually have to trim a little.
Your chip guard on the rear fenders is discolored and outlined with grime. Might want to remove that.
Although you're probably planning on a paint or wrap, right?
Im not gonna lie removing it never came into mind, I’m going to try getting off this weekend, thanks for letting me know. I’m planning to wrap it eventually not in a rush to do though.

All you need is a plastic edge and a hair dryer. Easy job. GL

May be able to take a toothpick and a little bit of WD40 to remove the edge grime and also remove some of the dirt that is embedded in the material causing a portion of the discoloring.
