Finally got my Zele Performance GT wing installed. Polished and waxed it last night but the sun set before I was done so I was doing it blindly at the end. I want to try to find a nice spot to take pics while it still looks nice.
As The Pope mentioned, it was a half-aşşed attempt by Infiniti to spinoff from the NISMO line.
It flopped.
It did for their sales however it created some fantastic unique vehicles.
If I would have gotten into the game with a Base G I would have gone bankrupt trying to replicate a Sport
Infiniti lost their sense of direction. Blame that on mismanagement, lack of money/ interest, whichever...
To me, the IPL was a missed opportunity. Instead of attempting to create the "IPL" nonsense, NISMO should have expanded to include the V35/V36 platforms. Yes, some (very few) of the NISMO products/ parts do carry over, but there was never any strong support for the G's as opposed to the die hard love NISMO has for the Z, GT-R, and the other "old school" lines. Even in Japan, the V35/V36 "Skylines" do not command the same level of "home team support" as their older/ newer brethren.
I still say the Q60 (CV37) will be the last of the Infiniti Coupes with the Nissan 400Z taking over- but that is another discussion, for another day....

I find the 3.0 Q60S to be the mecha of the coupe models look wise.
And the V36 as the mecha for the sedan. Driven plenty of Q50s and they only have power going for them once they're tuned.
Blown turbos/worse steering than the V36/ engine issues worry me.
On that same note I just dont think they can come up with a better car, I could be wrong but I just dont see them getting rid of the VR30. I dont see them ever making another manual car but I do see them with the 9 speed.
If anything a step brother off the Z35 just in 9speed only with some possibly better looks than the Z.
So wait...you bought Kenny's car and this is the end result? Nice! I heard the car was, lets say...misrepresented as to its overall upkeep, is that true?
