I say just deal with it and put on some loud music lol. I have Ark Catback and Motordyne ART pipes and drone heaven. I just tell myself #BecauseRacecar. Otherwise just go stock if u don't want drone

 

LOL ... I was searching and leaning towards the motordyne art pipes. In their website it says that it may eliminate drone. So, with your exhaust set up the DRONE is gone? Thanks.

Means lots of drone hence turn music up. Op you could add resonators somewhere to help. Try vibrant resonators. They work great have used them many times on custom setups. Youll have to have a shop cut and weld them in

 

Didn't get what he said ... anyways, Thank you for the suggestion but is the motordyne art pipes same as the resonators? I looked at the motordyne website and it says that it can decrease or eliminate the rasp and the drone. I wonder if anyone here has the setup with motordyne art pipes and full catback can share

 

I have ART pipes and full Motordyne catback. Honestly after a few weeks I got used to it. It tends to drone more for me if I shift earlier and its around 2k rpm. If you keep in the sweet spot a little above 3k rpm the drone is minimal, at least for me. I also have 7AT, but this only works if you drive in manual mode which I do almost always.

 

Thank you very much for your input. I'm glad that you shared your input since we have the same 7AT with the full Motordyne catback. I am leaning on getting the MD art pipes considering the exhaust sound it makes but after your info. I'm having second thoughts in getting it since the drone is still there and may even have gotten more . I really thought that it lessened the drone considering from their advertisement in their website. The drone that bothers me a bit is when I drive on the freeway with Rpm around 2500-3000. Driving in the city is ok for me since I also drive once in awhile in manual mode. I was wondering about the Fast Intentions HFC if it may help with the drone instead of the art pipes? Can you share some vids pls of your exhaust set up?😊

 

Nope lol. It's minimal though when I'm driving normal on highways. Or maybe I'm just used to it.

Found a good deal locally Motordyne Art pipes for my Motordyne full catback set up. Should I get them to hopefully help the drone? Or is it worth it to swap my Berks HFC with the Motordyne Art Pipes? Will my car pass smog in Cali once I swap to Motordyne Art pipes? Thanks.

 

ART pipes are test pipes so that means two things:

- They absolutely will not pass smog.

- With your catback, they will still drone (but the Hemholtz resonators help eliminate some rasp).

Maybe someone who has owned both can compare the exact difference in level of drone of berk hfc vs ART pipes.

 

Ha passing smog with test pipes, ur a funny dude.. It sounds like you absolutely do NOT want rasp, which is good, it sounds terrible. With you needing to pass smog, you should get high flow cats man, they should completely eliminate the rasp all together and still pass smog.
