Are these flanges from the ART pipe to Y pipe supposed to be this off? I felt for leaks but thankfully couldn't feel any.

Does the Y pipe need to be flipped over for these flanges to match? There's also gaps near the holes where the bolts go on. They seem to work fine, but if they're not on correctly I'd rather take it back to the shop to avoid any possible future mishaps.

The whole exhaust system hangs really low right now as well. I know that they're notoriously low but now I see them in person I'm wondering if its on correctly.

You can put a Vibrant gasket on there and that'll help with the seal. The mid muffler is super sensitive tho so if you're lowered be very careful because any scrape or violent vibration can cause the welds on the muffler seams to have hairline cracks in it and it'll sound just awful.

You shouldn't be able to flip the y-pipe over because the flanges that go to the cat's are slanted. I'm more worried about how the pipes meet up on the inside. If they misaligned I imagine you aren't getting the best flow.

If I recall correctly mine were a little off too.. (I have art pipes and motordyne cbe)

I can check tomorrow and report back.

I have no exhaust leaks and sweet baby jesus does it sound glorious.

Everything about that exhaust and art pipes is off. It hangs way to low. For the price you pay for this combo it should be way better. That's why I sold mine.. Blah!!

Thank you, much appreciated, and I am 100% with you on the sound.

You may be right about the the hanging position, but finish is amazing, midrange gains are undeniable (butt dyno for now of course ), and sound is unrivaled imo.

Even though the fitment leaves something to be desired, I will hang on to it for now, pun intended.

had the ART pipes, the quality was subpar especially considering the high price. also kept throwing the CEL everytime.
got rid of that s**t for a nice set of fast intentions double resonated test pipes. sounds much better and the quality and the welds on it is unmatched.

I know this is an old thread but I am bumping it because of what I discovered today.

Noticed my exhaust was a little different sounding when I started it up. Sure enough I could feel the exhaust leaking out on the passenger side of the picture above. It seems the gasket may be bad between the flange where the ART pipes and Y pipe meet. Also my fitment was similar to what is pictured so I think it is normal.

Now the question is what gaskets do I buy...searching now.

I had motordyne CBE + Art pipes. That merge fits horribly and I went through 6 different style of gaskets including OEM gaskets that Tony from Motordyne provided.

The ones that leaked the least amount was Remflex.


It allows you to posistion the gasket in different ways.
