G37 CoupeS - Perf Mods Recommendations
Hi everyone,
I have an 08 Coupe 6 speed with a Takeda intake, a generic y-pipe, and a Beluga axle-back exhaust. I have had no tuning or re-flash and I wanted to get people's feedback on next steps. Here's what I'm thinking/wondering about next possible steps. I'd also like to know if people have feedback on the order in which I do these next steps too:
1) Dyno tune, re-flash - do it now or wait for more mods? Will I see an improvement?
2) High-flow cats - best bang for the buck at this point?
3) Headers - seems a bit costly with install. Is it worth it?
4) Mid-pipe - does it make a difference?
Anything I'm missing for performance (short of turbo's, etc.)?

Welcome to the board, dswarr. You questions should have been posted in the Engine, Drivetrain & Forced-Induction forum. Be sure to check the sedan forum as almost all coupe mods can be done to the sedan so you'll find good, if misplaced, info there.
I'd say from where you are now a tune would be a waste. You'll get some power for sure but so would a bone stock car. I would get high flow cats, a better flowing mid-pipe, the 4.08 gears and finally finish up with a tune. The tune should always be your last mod of possible.
