I don't personally like the look; seems a little tacky/juevenile to me.
But, as others have said, if you like it you should do it. Yours is the only opinion that matters.

Its your car do what you want is the typical response...however it wont be "your" car someday. You will probably sell it and when you do you have just reduced your target market and your resale will be less then if you didnt do it.
Advice from someone who has done things to cars and then regretted it...
Do it but make it reversible ....wrap it.
If you cant reverse something you do to a car and make it stock....look long and hard at the cost...the cost of doing the project and the loss at resale of doing the project.
