G37s spoiler

Hey guys I have a 2008 g37s with the ugly chrome spoiler and am looking to replace it. There are OEM options but they come to around $500 CAD like this one

Infiniti Discount OEM Parts and Accessories

There are also OE style ones that are much cheaper, around $200 CAD like this one

Infiniti G37 Spoiler 08+ Coupe Factory Flush Mount

Is paying the extra $300 worth it for OEM? Has anyone purchased either of these, or can anyone recommend a seller?

Look for car parts corner on eBay. I bought my color matching spoiler for my ivory pearl for $265 from them.. Perfect color match and it's oem.. Comes with all the i finite brochures and everything. Not sure what your color code is or I would have pulled a link for ya if they had one in your color.. But yes.. It's absolutely worth more money to go oem than aftermarket in body fitment. I've heard plenty of horror stories about fitment and looks

Go for the OEM here: Infiniti Discount OEM Parts and Accessories

Then put in the code below:

"ESTORE2016" to save 25%.

Should be only around 175 bucks more then the fake....perfect fitment, paint match, etc etc. Definately worth the 175 bucks more.

Or you can get some plastidip and glossifier and paint it for around 25 bucks. Looks just as good as the OEM spoiler IMOP adds a contrast and your dont have to drill holes...

wow that second link would work since I don't have a rear cam and it's the right colour, I think I'm gonna have to go with that unless I find something better

My spoiler is specific to the vert and wouldn't fit the coupe, from what I've read. Look around the boards for the coupe specific spoiler for pics. I saved hundreds getting mine off of eBay and it is a Nissan genuine part. I wondered the same...is it worth the extra $$$$ to buy from a dealer. I paid just $100 so it was easy for me to give it a try and I'm happy with what I got.

Good luck.

Your eBay link states its an OEM part so look for pics of coupes with the OEM spoiler on it. The only difference in most will be the addition of a camera hole for those who have backup cameras.

The OEM spoiler was the first mod I did when I got my car. I look at it this way, the spoiler was engineered and designed by Infiniti for our car so fitment is spot on. Next, when it comes time to re-sell you can have the benefit of having the added factory option rather than a cheaper alternative that might detract from value.

Like rdog mentioned the Vert spoiler is different than that of the coupe. Here's a pic of mine (albeit with the camera hole).

Do the OEM chrome spoiler and larger painted OEM spoilers share the same OEM drill holes? I'm trading my 2010 G37x coupe for a 2014 Q60S, and the Q60 comes with the chrome spoiler. I'd like to try to swap the spoiler from my G to the Q60, but I'd like to make sure it's a viable option, first.

No, the OEM spoiler requires you to drill new holes (if I remember correctly there are 6 holes) and then provides covers for holes used by the chrome spoiler. The chrome spoiler would not cover the holes used by the OEM spoiler.
