It's been real G37 fam
All good man.
You do know there is a sure way to prevent the rod bearing issues from happening, right? It's a $2k fix but well worth it IMO if you plan on keeping the car. People on the m3 forums have been changing out the rod bearings as preventative maintenance and they never have to worry about the problem ever happening. B/c I'm the paranoid type, that's something I would do if I ever got that car. Just wanted to put that idea out there though. If you do get it done though, make sure you get it done from a reputable shop that knows of this issue.

on another note another reason why I didn't consider the 370z. Same crappy clutch system as the G37. Make sure you get the HD CSC with stainless lines. flush every 5-10k(fluid tends to get black) I've used the R35 fluid and it does improve slightly.

Congrats dude. I was seriously thinking about a m3 after the G but there were a few deal breakers that didn't work for me (low on torque, dat redline though......, no BBK, and small but bothersome..... orange halo running lights). Other than that though the car is fantastic inside and out and I bet you're enjoying the hell out of it.

Def not as close nit as this forum. I'll always be part of the G fam
Everything is double infiniti prices. Guess you got to pay to play.
Really want the akrapovic exhaust but can't justify 6k for them. I'll probably settle for something cheaper lol
For now just upgraded halos to LED's and CF mirror and CF lip(on the way)
Nice E92. I've always wanted one, however the maintenance and repair costs are way more than what I can afford to pay while on financing. The closest thing to that 8k+ rpm was my 06 Rsx-S that revved to the moon(8300) but I sold that awhile ago. Anyways good looks and have fun with one hell of a ride!

Price of parts is obviously more expensive, however if you have some wrench skills its not that hard to maintain.
Did my first oil change on my own. Diff and trans fluid next (similar to G's)
the V8 is a very reliable motor besides the rod bearing issues which are not that common.

Stop in every now and then and talk highly about us all on the Beemer forums lol
