infiniti broke my car :(
If I remember correctly the key programming etc is handled by the BCM on the G37.
These run at about $200 used on Ebay..
Either way don't allowed them to blame you and have you pay for it - as every one already said they technically broke it when incorrectly programming the key.

I would not be waiting for their phone call. I would be calling and raising hell. They cannot claim that the ECU (which does not have a history of being a ECU that craps out) was on the verge of crapping out when you dropped it off. Plus they would have to claim that the ECU shutting down had nothing to do with the only task you requested being ECU related and their involvement with said ECU.
Thats crazy....so I would be thinking that the only reason they are not calling back is because they are making some adjustments to make it your fault or the previous owners fault regarding a tune or something associated with the ECU. The longer you wait for their call the more time they have .... Seems if they were going to replace it they would have called long ago....

I say if they don't resolve this matter professionally and with courtesy to OP we all get the info for this dealership and drive them crazy with phone call complaints until they agree to take responsibility!
OP let them know you have an entire Infiniti community supporting you and we will not stand down!

They just don't know how to program a key. This happened to me when I used a third party locksmith. The key wouldn't start the car anymore but it locked and unlocked the doors. The locksmith didn't follow the sequence right, its a series of key on and key off with and without the key in the little key holder in your dash. If you put the wrong key in the holder or fail to put the desired key in the holder at all, it won't program right. He restarted the procedure and got both keys to program just fine after that.
Also, for what it's worth, I paid $45 for him to program my new key and $10 for him to cut the two blanks. Bought the key and two blanks for like $40 on the forum. I'm guessing you'll be paying at least $100 for Infiniti to program the key, if not upwards of $200..
If they don't give you what you want call corporate. Just state the facts "everything was fine the dealership touched it and now it is not fine".
I'd not only ask for them to pay for the damages THEY caused but I'd also ask for a free midnight grill to be included as they have now wasted your time.
USA Corporate Phone Number: 1-615-725-1000

they quoted me $70 for program and $20 to cut. before this i tried getting quotes from local locksmiths and they said they couldnt do it. idk why and i even got a quote from pop a lock they said about $200.

Yeah same here, many dealerships wont cut keys unless they are purchased in house. They say the keys are made from different metals and may break the cuttings bits.. Who really knows..
I got my 2nd key and had it programmed through a Nissan dealership (where we bought the car), they paid the cost of a new key but the programming cost me $60
is it safe to think that since im not getting a call back they must be working on my car and will suprise me and say come pickup the car theyre done and i dont have to pay for anything other than key programming?
anyone with dealership experience? or worst case my cars jus sitting in the shop collect shop dust. theyve had my car since friday.
