I know this is late, I totally dropped off the planet after moving vette side, but yeah, my bro just got a q50s and immediately realized the new 400hp version was coming out. Story of my life. I swear, everytime I get a new mac, the next version comes out a week later.

This was also my top choice for my next car.

However the new Camaro ss is blurring my mind since it has similar performance, engine etc. for almost 25-30K less when optioned. I don't like the Camaro interior though.
Corvette is almost perfect in terms of seating position, being a hatchback having good trunk space and so on.

What cars have you driven before making your decision?
Was originally smitten by some used Porsches. Drove the 981 Cayman and Cayman S, 997 turbo w/50k miles, Older Targas. The vette was just the best bang for the buck. I have a buddy who has the 2015 Camaro Z28, but yeah, not a big Camaro fan. Plus, he apparently kind of regrets not having simple pleasures like AC and a decent radio now.

Plus, my pops has a 69 Stingray that's been in the family its whole life, so there was some family heritage that influenced me

A little late but congrats. My sister has a 2014 Stingray in silver (it was my dads). Only thing i wasn't crazy about was the tight seating on the thighs. I'm 6ft 170lbs with a 32" waistline and it was tight on my skinny butt. Like really tight. Great for tracking but as a DD i don't know. I guess you could get use to it.

Fantastic car though. Really high tech, a lot more high tech than what i was expecting when i first sat in it. So many settings....

Update after 1000 miles:

Yeah, I actually prefer the Gs nav and infotainment. Chevy's is like Windows 98 slow and STILL does the annoying bs where when you plug in your iPhone or end a call it opens iTunes... dummmmmbbbb. The drive tech is awesome though, heads up display is great. Love the exhaust baffle option too so I can go stealth if need be. I agree with one C&D review where they said the C7 "needs 7 speeds like it needs square wheels." Heated seats were better in G (as in, they actually heated your ***). I actually really like the seats (6'1, 185, 34'x32' if anyone wants to buy me more pants). Wish it had the video record option with instrument overlay for track days that the 2015 has. Girlfriend hates how she can't sleep in the car now though because the seats don't recline all the way Ackerman steering jitter is annoying at low speed, but appreciate the desire on Chevy's part to preserve the handling at higher speed, so its not a big deal. Injectors are loud and make me worry my engine is going to explode because its actually the torque tube going kaput (highly unlikely at 5500 miles, more likely I'm just an anxious person... knock on wood. Still under warranty so little to worry about there.)

Love the color...but personally not a fan of the C7. Now if you rocked a C6 I might be asking for the keys. LoL. Glad you are happy...is it weird rowing 7 gears? That to me, I think would be the weirdest thing.

What do you miss the most about the G now that you own the Vette?

Back seats and sound system, but the electronically baffled exhaust is a song in its own right
