Who out there has a FI exhaust with 12 Inch resonators?

 

I used to. Now I have it without resonators on the catback. Only resonated high flows.

 

How loud was it in the cabin with the 12's?

 

It had no drone or rasp. On some random days though there was some drone when driving around 20mph but not noticeable.. I have it non resonated and it's awesome!

 

Im sure it is, but I need to keep it somewhat quite. In my 50's now, my wife thinks Im nuts already you know. Was it decent in the cabin WOT?

 

You can hold a conversation without yelling. Sometimes i wanted it louder so got it without the resonator on it. If you want quiet then maybe 18's are better for you? On the inside it's not bad but it sounds loud from the outside (i only got to hear it once from the outside)

 

I think Vizard and I (and probably you considering your concerns) have different opinions on drone. I have the round mufflers catback with 18" res and there is indeed drone. FI exhausts are known to have drone in the 1500-1800 rpm range. It's not that bad and is very daily-able, especially if you have a manual or use DS mode to monitor your rpm range. At highway speeds there is not drone because my car sits at just over 2krpm which is out of the "drone zone". Under WOT you won't have any. Just the exhaust being nice and loud and doing its job.
