Hey I am new to this car and I have been looking around like crazy....
However, ...all aftermarket axle back exhausts appear to be made with the 4+ inch tails and they stick way out....
I am not knocking the look...it just is not what I want.
I was wondering if anyone knows of a aftermarket exhaust with smaller tails that do not stick out....I was really interested in the infiniti performance exhaust but all the pics I see from different angles look like humongous pipes sticking out the rear....
I talked to a vendor on here too and nothing.
So I got another idea...
How about a diffuser maybe that will make it not appear to stick out as much...??
I have looked around further and it appears that the only one that significantly sticks out in the rear is the Infiniti Performance Exhaust the rest dont appear to stick out much.
Thinking Tannabe Medalion, MotorDyne or Top Speed.
Also look into AAM short tails. Most people will just tell you that you're over paying for a muffler delete, but I hear nothing but great things from that company. I plan on getting a pair of them and installing ART pipes from motordyne. Sounds great from videos I heard and also looks great!
My Greddy exhaust doesn't stick out at all. It's funny bc I was just complaining about the fact it doesn't to my friend today and I can't add tips to it by my tips don't come off :- (
Ended up buying tanabe axel back exhaust...I read around and looked at a bunch of pics. Its not the 4inch pipes that look bad its the fact that the OEM Performance exhaust specifically sticks way out the rear and looks like ricer pipes ... I was about to buy it too...phew...
^^^^ Yea it appears that the only ones that do stick out are the OEM performance exhaust. So its not the 4 inch diameter that is the problem...its the way they stick out...
Visually its undeniable .....and depending on the angle and your car some are better and I have seen worse from different angles...not a fan.
and in this thread this member had the muffler shop cut an inch and still felt it stuck out too much.
