Let me list:
Targa top rattle
Brake/stop light relay switch click
Steering wheel squeak
Clutch/spring squeak
Due to how low it sits ROAD NOISE
Torque tube is like 12 inches from you..
Horrible sound proofing of cabin allows you to hear ticking injectors...all the time...
High pitch whine from alternator or wobbling damper.
buzzing or flapping of (windshield cowl) take your pick you will have one...lol
Rear end noise...
These I have personally experienced and yes you can fix them for a couple of months but most come back.. type in noise on their forum and its crazy...
Seriously the Corvette is an amazing looking car with great performance other than that its a POS. Interior is crap, tech is old school and bad old school. Reliability is in question depending on the engine you have..the LS3 engine is sound but the LS7 engine (Z06 engine) has valve seats that are not concentric to the valve guides causing these engines to blow up everywhere.
This is why I am a happy G37 owner...

Relative to a Corvette....every car is sound proof...

Wow.
I'm a long time Vette fan. But I only owned a 64 Vert.
Yeah, noises everywhere there too, but they were all drowned out from the howl of the 411 rear.

The one thing I've always missed was the direct pedal/throttle connection. No OBD no computer delays. Every gram of pressure on the pedal received an instant response at the wheels.
Heh and only a fan and an alternator in the engine compartment, talk about easy to work on!
Daily driver it was not.
Loving my G37xS, just wishing it had another 200 ponies... but hey, for the price it's amazing and a ball to drive...and still refined enough for my 87 y/o Mother to enjoy riding shotgun.

Yeah I like vettes a lot myself. That's really what I wanted when I was stepping up from my firebird, but I needed something very daily-able that could handle snow and I didn't think a vette that I would be learning stick on would be a good choice haha. Always been a fan of the LS Platform but didn't know that about the LS7. the C6 Z06 has been my attainable dream car for awhile. Maybe I'm be better off going with a C7 when the time to buy a weekend car rolls around.
I didn't know the sport muffler sounded that good. BUT, I went with top speed axle back, and am not looking back. It sounds great, and gurgles and pops more than the sport. Not to mention, much more affordable.
I was personally looking to avoid gurgles and pops, but that's just me. I recognize a lot of folks prefer G&P. I grew up on old school musclecars so we always avoided G&P as a sign of a poorly tuned car. Taint so nowadays!

That is very interesting to say the least! I guess its true what they muscle and import are two completely different worlds LOL. I wonder if that is still the same standard in muscle today. I would imagine so, since I never hear it.

I came from the turbo world with a SRT4 where the gurgle and pop was desired and then the Corvette world. I can tell you a good pop and gurgle is loved in the Vette world too. Although not to the extent of a turbo charged engine with a blow off valve and all the other noise makers...
