2011 G37 Sport Front Splitter

Hello,

I have a 2011 G37 Sport Coupe and I have been searching for a front splitter for my G and was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations? I know Stillen makes one and have heard mixed reviews about it. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Google IPL Front Splitter. I believe outcast garage carries them. Really improves the look of the G

I don't think that the IPL front splitter will look right on the Sport bumper. They are contoured much differently.

Autokits has one for the 2011 plus. Otherwise I haven't seen many aside from those designed for the 2008-2010

I also was having trouble finding a splitter for the 2011+, and wasn't sure how it would look on the car. I ended up going with a polyurethane splitter off eBay ($35) and bought rods ($15) to prevent it from flying away. Overall looks pretty good, and could be a platform to upgrade to the OG IPL splitter in the future

I believe i received this splitter, although i ordered the bigger one. Since they sent me the wrong one, they issued me a 50% refund, making the price around $35.

Universal Front Bumper Lip Flat Under Panel Splitter Plate Diffuser Wind Blade | eBay

I wouldn't recommend this one though, its too skinny for the 2011 bumper, which made the install pretty hard. I would try and find one that extends out farther. Maybe contact them and see if they have the larger one available

Quality wise, its a decent piece of poly, very flexible and seemingly durable. Decent for the price

Any problems securing it other members had problems at freeway speeds like flapping and noise etc.

Amazed at the lack of aftermarket options for spoilers, splitter and diffusers.

no problems securing it, and no flapping etc. The install recommended 3M mounting tape, but i used the provided bolts (two on each side) and drilled into the bottom. I also added the rods, which make it pretty sturdy towards the center

I took a couple secs; here's how I think this would actually fit the 2011 sport bumper. I'm surprised no one has made one that fits like the IPL splitter. I wonder what it would take to actually get one made?

Stillens splitter does not fit a 2011+ Sport bumper.
I know because they said it would and I purchased it through a vendor.
It did not fit....
My vendor called them back and they reviewed it and said the following:

"According to mgt. the customer’s bumper is different then the “Sport” bumper that is shown on our website. We can take back the splitter back - unless the customer wants to make it work."

Their webpage says it fits the 2012 G37 Sport.....which is the same front end as the 2011 + sport bumper .......they dont know the difference obviously.

I don't understand why no manufacturer or vendor have made one for this bumper yet especially with all the demand on it

Well somebody tried to make one. It just doesn't fit. Technically speaking.

Yea I think Stillen made one for the pre 2011 Sport etc. However, it was not made specifically for the 2011+. They were either not aware of the change or did not care enough to double check fitment on the 2011+.
I have been looking at it real close and I believe the only thing I will have to do is make a bit of a change on the ends to make this work. I will make a thread and show how I did it with pics on how to do it...if successful ... .
