Urgent! Need help.
Regarding my 2009 Infiniti G37x Coupe:
I'm going to apologize ahead of time if this was answered somewhere else, but I couldn't find what I was looking for and Google isn't giving me that great of results - maybe it's what I'm entering for my search? This just happened maybe an hour and a half ago and now I'm all pissed off and hyped up on 3 red bulls. So here goes nothing...
I was driving home with my girlfriend back to Long Island, NY, from New Jersey (we went to the New Jersey Devils v Ottawa Senators game for any NHL fans out there
) and we were going through Staten Island to avoid a car accident that caused traffic. There was a bump and after that bump the lovely city of New York decided to cut a chunk of the road out which was not visible before the bump. I bottomed out very hard and I pulled over because I literally thought my bumper would've been cracked or broken off. Come to find out, the entire under engine splash shield cover and whatever other pieces of plastic are separating my chassis from the road were basically hanging off and dragging on the road.
What I need to know is:
1) Does anyone know exactly how many pieces are compiled to create that splash shield? Google has suggested it's 3 parts for the car, while on other threads I've seen it only as 1 or 2 parts.
2) For however many parts are under there, does anyone know the OEM Part Numbers for these?
3) Does anyone know, roughly, how much these authentic OEM parts cost?
4) Suggestions on places to buy these from?
I plan on going to my performance shop and getting his opinion on it then following that up with a visit to my local Infiniti dealer/service center and getting their opinion on the fix tomorrow after work.
Sorry the post is so long, frustration and keyboards don't mesh well.

Sorry to hear your troubles!
Page EXT-31 of the coupe FSM shows 3 large panels: 1 Engine Lower Cover and a left and right Floor Under Cover
Note there are 3 additional smaller pieces called Front Under Cover and L&R Rear Under Cover
I don't know part #s, but you can search now that you know what they are called.

Here you go, it's part #10, part #13(right), #13 (left) And about a dozen to 15 bolts if you need them too.

I'd be filing a claim with whatever agency is responsible for maintaining that road. The contractors didn't do their job in marking off the area of roadway under construction. Maybe even put this through your insurance. They may be hidden chassis damage present.
