g37xs coupe not speeding up like it used to?
So I've had this '11 g37xs coupe for 3 months and when I first bought it, I could've sworn when I gave it a solid push on the gas pedal, this thing would fly and almost jerk me backwards... 3 months in, I feel it takes a bit longer to get up to that speed. Maybe it's just I got used to it or maybe something worst? What should I have the mechanic look at? (I'm already bringing it in to get winter tires changed)
Man I felt the same way about my G when I first bought it...then after a few months I guess I got used to it.
Then I got a LTCAI, which made it accelerate like a freight train...now I can't tell that is there either.
Many...many mods later It continues to feel this way. Back n forth back n forth.
This may not be what's happening to you, but then again it could be.

I hope it's not anything major as well. But I suspect, unless the change is drastic, that it's just you getting accustomed to the pickup of the G.

Hmmm could that be it? I started driving like an old lady(barely pressing the pedal at all) because of gas concerns... in my first month I was ripping it a lot but I couldn't deal with filling it up so much so I changed my driving habit.... Could this really be the reason it takes a bit longer to pick up?

mine was the opposite - i drove slower when i first got it (average 18-20mpg). then i put on an axle-back exhaust (VROOM VROOM!), now i average about 17-18mpg.

.. and can an infiniti dealership or a mechanic do this for me? I rather have a professional do it so my car isn't f'ed up
