Smile Good OEM option spoiler

What's a good option. I really never liked chrome, so the chrome lip on the back needs to go soon.

I was thinking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281826784575?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Thoughts, and other suggestions on a OE style spoiler. I need to retain my camera hole BTW.

Just do yourself a favor and go with OEM .... these "OE Like" are a crap shoot. There are a million and one posts about the subject. Don't spend all that money on a nice car and then cheap out with something as important as a spoiler (aka fit, finish, longevity)

I hear you, but I have had great experience in not going OEM in the past with other cars. Just wanted to hear word of mouth with experiences. I am not paying $500+ for a spoiler..

Based on that link, I'm assuming you have a coupe. Do yourself a favor and go OEM.

Use this link: Coupe Spoiler from Infiniti of Willow Grove, PA
Pick your color, and checkout with coupon code ESTORE2015

Got mine for $365 shipped.

Its a chance...I have done business with BMWOEMSHOP (used to be based in Taiwan), and had GREAT experience. Unfortunately, they don't offer an option for the g37

Thanks man, that's a world of a lot better than $500. I will definitely consider it. Did you have to drill?

I'm trying to understand where the help is in your post, or are you just trolling? Its a damn spoiler, not an engine. Its not that deep. RELAX...

Seems like you have already made up your mind before you asked so whats the point of your post? Everyone here says go OEM (based on personal experiences or the gazillion posts and horror stories on this board, year after year)

LOL, its not even a matter of having my mind made up of not going with OEM. Its a matter of not paying 500+ for a spoiler. What was recommended above is definitely an option. But, there is a chance that some one did go aftermarket, and is happy with the outcome. That's ultimately what the post is for.

Yes, in the 6 years I have been on this board I have seen some people happy with non-OEM spoilers but the majority aren't. On the flip side, I have hardly ever seen anyone not happy with OEM.

I see the unanimous decision on these so far LOL. I guess its safe to say no one has found an OE alternative that has been widely accepted.

Coming from an Acura TL, OEMBMWSHOP was widely accepted for after market lips etc. But I guess lips and spoilers are two different devils apparently.

OEM only. You're wasting your money otherwise. If you want a cheap one, check the online discount retailers. They are usually $100-200 less than retail for the spoiler. They also pop up on eBay (new or used) in the $200-300 range, but finding your color might make that a nightmare for you. I waited half a year for one to pop up on eBay before finally deciding to buy from discount infiniti parts online.

Aftermarket will also fail to offer you the replacement gas trunk struts that compensate for the added weight of the spoiler (yes it does matter), as well as a template, mounting clips, fasteners, etc.

Hope this helps

Is there a difference between the kit for the coupe and the sedan? I recently purchased a kit and it doesnt have the struts but it also doesnt mention struts in the BOM...
