City mpg is horrible, 10-15mpg. If I am really careful without AC probably around 18mpg.

I can break 30mpg on highway, AC OFF and cruising around 55-65 mph. However I am quite tired of hypermiling, you can easily lose 3-4 mpg if you are not careful.

I drive in the city and get about 10-12 mpg with my '11 G37xS coupe... I don't get stuck in bumper to bumper traffic either... is there something I can ask a mechanic to look into to see if there's an issue? I might have to sell it if that's the way it stays because it's my daily driver

Brakes dragging? Alignment way off? What's your city driving actually like? If it's just light to light that's not that surprising. Maybe you accidentally got a Canadian car and it's saying 10-12 litres per 100km?

Ive been pretty much spot on with the window sticker. 17 city, 25 highway. Actually, maybe a little better on the highway.

When people say it's not up to snuff with modern cars, i have to disagree. My father has an ecoboosted lincoln that has the same epa rating and needs 2 turbos and direct injection to make roughly the same power. He gets 13 around town and 20 on the highway.

It's just physics. It takes a certain amount of energy to accelerate a certain weight to a certain speed. You want a 330hp GT car, you're not gonna get honda civic gas milage.

I seem to be averaging about 18/19 city and 25/26 highway. When I got the car in winter I was doing a lot of driving in -15 to -25C, mpg was still not lower than 16mpg despite letting it idle a fair bit and slow drives due to snow. Here in Canada there are a few select stations that offer no ethanol and I try to stick to those. Perhaps that has some effect as well? We also have 91 octane as premium.

It's definitely not KM, the dash says i get 16 mpg but I actually calculate my gas and it's about 10-11 mpg. I'm actually thinking the alignment or the tires are messed up so I'm buying a whole new set and doing an alignment check in 2 weeks.

Before you start changing parts, when is the last time you reset your ECM?

What's that? Btw I don't track my mpg through the dash, I track it by myself by gauging how much I drive and how many gallons are in it. I start with 20 gallons and get about ~200-220 miles with it before I fill again.

The computers in modern cars adapt to driving habits, adjusting fuel trims, etc. If you've noticed over time a decrease in MPG's and drivability that you're at a loss to explain, sometimes resetting the ECM can help. Usually not, but it's free to attempt before you spend money on things. Also, don't forget the simple stuff. check air pressure, check air filters, and other routine maintenance items as a couple percent here and there adds up.

Hmm can I reset it or does it need to be done through a mechanic? Also, yea the pressure in my right tires keep deflating at around ~2psi a week right now so I def have to change those anyways

There's a write up in the tech section. Also check with the dealer to see if there are any updates. For instance, the 7at im my mothers 2011 seems to operate differently than the one in my 2013. Doesn't coast as well (more drag) when you let off the gas. That's all programming and can be updated by the dealership.
