5" tips are becoming the new industry norm

The Magnaflow Competition exhaust we received for our 2015 Mustang had 5" tips. It really fills out the rear diffuser IMO. Like most of you, I thought it would look ridiculous, but it doesn't look out of place one bit

My Motordyne exhaust came with 5" tips. I thought they looked too big up against my IPL kit, but I've grown to like them. I'm not sure what the inlet tube size is for the IPL exhaust, but Motordyne should also sell 5" tips.

The sports muffler tips are LOL huge.... I'm thinking about changing it back to stock.

 

Really? My exhaust has 4.5 in tips and I think they fit really well. They're big enough to show it's not stock setup but not look out of place.

Yes. 4.5" They look funny on the G37 because they stick out too far. Even after cutting and re-welding the tips, they still stuck out too far by 1". I looked better on the lift. lol

I wonder why those look so huge.

Maybe it because he doesnt have a spoiler like mine? Or maybe its because I have 2 separate mufflers while the sport exhaust is just 1 and you can't really see it?

Who knows. Thy do look large on the black car though.

 

It's the rolled taper tips. Look how thick it is so it stands out. Plus the lighting?

I think they were made for the IPL bumper.
