I just keep mine on the passenger seat lol. Since it's connected with the ipod connector/adaptor most of the time. Somewhat inconvenient with the bigger sized phone like iPhone 6+.

I agree! I have a Note 3 and I completely understand the struggle, ha.
Yeah I just use the cup holder most of the time or I'll put it down above my shift **** not sure if it's called the same thing on an AT but you get my point..
my iphone 5 fits perfectly in the frame of the ashtray and its held up by the center console. also, if you have an A/T and iphone 6 it'll fit above the seat warmer ***** and under the shifter when in D
