Removing IPDM

Hi everyone. I recently had some trouble with my tail lights, license play lights, and the lights illuminating the air conditioning controls. After some research, it turns out to be a blown fuse. I narrowed it down to the fuse box by the battery, the IPDM. Please correct me if this is wrong. I removed everything necessary and once I got to the IPDM itself, i was able to lift it up about half an inch or so while pushing the clips in before it got stuck.

Is there something that i'm missing in order to take the IPDM out to check the fuse? Thank you in advance for your help.

After removing the trim pieces where you have access to it, you push in the two clips at the top and pull it up. If you can't get it out, pull harder.
