No effort was needed. Mind you I hate driving long distances. It fatigues me more than the average driver. Not on this trip.

Something was off, it did not feel like a 7 hour drive. More like a 3 hour drive. And it was windy and cloudy.

Then when I went to fill up I saw it. I was driving the Hybrid. I knew I was driving the Hybrid from the get go but when I saw the word "HYBRID" it dawned on me.

This car has DAS! And it was great! And it was Gen 1 too as it is a 2015.

For long road trips and non spirited driving, I would take DAS any day.

Just my $.02 for the day.
This is why instead of a 2liter they should have had a Hybrid Q60, would have been much more meaningful. Also they should have tried to refine the hybrid and put more emphasis on it.

Well infiniti is lost.

Finally, an unbias review about DAS from a guy who isn't connected to Infiniti. :P

Funny how he didn't notice the car had DAS until he saw the word hybrid.

Anyone could tell right away if a car had DAS based on the oversteer alone. There are countless stories of "first drives" where the driver almost hits a curb on the first right turn. lol!

Funny how in the video the first thing he mentions is how "sluggish" the 7at is. And this guy has driven almost all the sport-luxury cars on his youtube channel (bmw zf-8, lexus rc350- rc-f, camaro, corvette etc.), never hear him making a comment like this for those 8at's.

He also mentions how good the engine is but the car not feeling 400hp fast...

Is that a light strip or just reflection?? Low res video is hard to tell.

ElJoker, do you have one on the lot with interior lighting pack where you can confirm door light strip?

You know everyone is titled to thier own opinion. Just because you hate it and bash it at every moment doesn't mean it's garbage to everyone else.

Seems like the only thing you talk about in this thread is how bad the DAS is and lack of 6mt. Gets kind of old.

Checking the parts catalog shows a LAMP ASSEMBLY-INSIDE HANDLE (26423-2V70A) but shows nothing for a light strip on/near the trim strip unless it's part of the interior ambient "reflective" lighting kit.

Yeah, i'm the only one who "hates it". That's why almost every professional review about it also bashes it.

And why Infiniti spent a crap load of hours and money revising the 1st one. And it still sucks. lol

DAS. It's short for dumbazzsteering for a reason.

Don't get me started on the Lack of Pandora app on a "smart" infotainment system. It's been what 4 years since we were first promised the app. We should be refunded for paying for a system that didn't deliver.

yes we can still hook up Pandora via Bluetooth but it doesn't have the full feature of having a real app connected with the car. (full control, switch station, etc etc). My CRV has Pandoa app.

As for his comments about the sluggish transmission - disclaimer: I DON'T have an auto - but on my 6mt, if I hit the next gear hard, it triggers the traction control and stalls the throttle. If he was running with the traction control on, and if they haven't revised it, I could see the trac control being responsible for the perceived sluggishness of the transmission. And of course, if the trac control was on, it would only give him part throttle through the gear as well, whcih would make him feel like the engine wasn't producing the full 400 hp. Notice his comment about that was in the earlier gears, but when he did a rolling pull (in the highers gears), he said, 'Oh, there it is". So my guess is that he still had trac control on and just jumped in and started driving.
