Corrosion from Salt
Corrosion from Salt
I'm looking at a 2011 g37xS primarily used in Maine. It's in good shape other than a lot of corrosion in engine bay. The front of engine, most of the fasteners, etc. have surface corrosion - I assume some of this is just road salt as well. I'm assuming the under carriage isn't any better.
Any thoughts on what problems I could expect from this ?
Thanks

I have 2011 to and live in Chicago. We have tons of salt in Chicago in winter and my G37 don't have ANY corrosion at all. So maybe You can take closer look at this car. ?????? BTW my car is my daily driver.
Infiniti uses zinc coated steel in the chassis and body parts. Unless there's evidence of underbody damage, there's little chance of significant corrosion. Flooding is a different issue, and all bets are off if that's the case.
