G37X Mods

Hi folks. I'm not sure whether this will be transferred into the Newbie thread or not, but here it goes:

Just bought a 2009 G37X (low milage!) It is bone stock and blemish free! Anyways I would like to squeeze 30-40 more horses out of it. I used to own a 1993 Nissan 300zx TT with mods - and had about 350 hp. I'd like around 360 or so.

Question: Can anybody give me an idea of what I can do to get to this level without sacrificing engine lifespan? (eg., cold air intake, exhaust, computer, etc.)

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum. Check out the Baddest G37X Coupe thread. There are a ton of great X coupes in there. I'm sure reading through that thread will be very helpful. I did exhaust, Takeda Attack CAI, and an UPRev tune for my simple engine mods, but there are quite a bit more exhausts that fit X coupes now. I'm sure you will find some good ideas in that thread. Have fun.

It's very unlikely you will make 360hp to the wheels naturally aspirated without some serious engine work and thousands upon thousands of dollars. Our cars don't even make 300hp to the wheels from the factory and bolt on mods don't skyrocket the hp figures on this car. I recommend doing a fair bit of searching, there is plenty of information around here to explain more of what I just briefed you on.

Spend some time in this forum:

Engine, Drivetrain & Forced-Induction - MyG37

I'd suggest researching before spending money. If you act too fast, you may buy something that you end up replacing a couple of months down the road. Make a roadmap and ensure that all components will play nice together.
