Faint popping sound after taking foot off throttle
Faint popping sound after taking foot off throttle
Sorry for starting a new thread on this, but my search yielded no current thread to piggyback onto.
Here's my problem. Some time ago, i noticed at parking lot speeds or slow stops towards a red light after taking my foot off the throttle, I'm hearing a faint pop/click within 2-3 seconds after taking my foot off the throttle. I don't hear it during throttle-down after more aggressive driving, but it's probably there and just getting masked. It's definitely in front of the firewall, in the engine compartment. It sounds like the type of noise pressure actuated solenoids made when used extensively in older vehicles.
I haven't changed either of my air cleaners yet, and it is a 2010 X coupe with 37K miles, but I doubt it's the issue. Also, I've never cleaned the throttle bodies and don't recall if this car has throttle body issues. I'm out of bumper to bumper warranty, but still within drivetrain warranty. But there's a good chance letting the dealer figure it out will land me an hour labor charge and being told it's not a drivetrain issue, and therefore not warrantable.
Any ideas? Anybody else experience this? Is there a DIY on this forum for cleaning the throttle bodies on the G37 coupe?
Thanks in advance for any imput.

I have no ideas about your issue but here is a link to DIY: Clean your Throttle Bodies from the DIY section.
